Brooke & The Nice Things:

“…we want something different from the typical wedding band-for-hire…we want people to dance all night…” is the common theme we hear from our clients planning their weddings or other private events. While this 8-piece soul band makes people dance and move throughout many of Chicago’s premier music venues and festivals, we continually embrace the opportunity to play many private events throughout the Midwest and beyond including weddings, corporate events, and other special events where the mission is to create something fun, fresh, unique, exciting and truly memorable.

While the band never set out to play private events, the first request came shortly after the band started playing out at venues throughout Chicagoland… and was followed by the next request, and the next and the next… The vast majority of Brooke and The Nice Things private event engagements continue to come from attendees of prior performances or simply by word-of-mouth. These new clients want to put their unique spin on what they just saw and heard from Brooke and the guys to make their own event or that of friends, family and colleagues special and different.

The Brooke Reams Jazz Trio and Jazz Quartet:

For a more laid back vibe during cocktails, dinner, or a social or corporate gathering, Brooke and the guys perform an array of jazz standards, mixed with some contemporary tunes to create the perfect atmosphere for a more intimate gathering. The Trio is comprised of Brooke's smooth vocals, accompanied by keys and a muted horn.  More often than not, we add a stand-up bass for a fuller, deeper vibe and pulse.

We had BNTNT play our wedding in Chicago and couldn't be happier. Working with Brooke and Steve (the manager) was a piece of cake. The run-of-show was smooth and the band brought the house down during the party. All of our guests commented on how great the band is. Hi Steve -- I met you briefly this past Saturday at the Wisconsin wedding.  First of all, let me say that Brooke and the Nice Things were absolutely INCREDIBLE!! You all kept the dance floor rockin' all night...it was unlike anything we've ever seen. Brooke and Steve -- You all put on an INCREDIBLE show this past Thursday.
